Rhonda Rousey Knocked out by Holly Holm at UFC 193

Rhonda Rousey Knocked out!

With more than 60,000 on lookers last night in Melbourne,Australia Ronda Rousey received the first upset of her career. In the old days of stand up vs Grappler, last nights was a suprise that has come many times since the old days.
But what I havent heard is how Holly Holm was able to pick Ronda's Style apart with ease. And worked her strategy with almost ease during last nights main event. After stunning Ronda with a right hand, Ronda was disoriented, and not able to recover with a sweep or takedwon. And Holly sensed this and followed up with a left round kick to Ronda's neck area, and that did the trick. Ronda was taken to a nearby hospital for observation after the fight.

Why women are better suited for the UFC-and Why Ronda Rousey can't be beat!

There seems to be an efficient eye of the Tiger in women, that is cold, calcullating, and caresfull in the ring. More suited for Judo than a man, (It's all in the hips) Women seem to bring something to the table, not seen in years from the better sex. Mad fluidity. Watching a Ronda Rousey match is like watching Royce Gracey all over again.

In a world (whispered) of very advanced MMA training, skills, and rich Legacy of Martial arts
More Workouts and MMA here
You would think that it had all been done, and the flags have settled at half mass for the UFC. Not a chance. The ladies are bringing it, and they are bringing it strong. Besides the eye appeal, which tends to undercut anything that a women does, the UFC skillfull marketing and data have uncovered a new very intertaining Niche. Women fighters.
For the arts that have been infused into the UFC, since the early brawl and maul days. Where blood and teeth would fly to the octagon floor, like a ball room scuffle. As Shakira says "The hips don't lie". The ladies are a force to be explored and reckoned with all at the same time. From Ronda's famous Judo throws, and armbars, to her out of the ring flex appeal. The combo can't be beat. So here is why women are better suited for the UFC.
1. Hips-(Judo,Sambo,Jiu jitsu, Hapkido,AIkido, all utilyze this grand body part)Techniques like the armbar, Heal hook, triangle choke, and many others, excell with better hip control. Or Submission over position.
2. Hips 2-Positions such as (side control,Top position, north South) All capitalize on great hip strength and control.
3. Hips 3-and finally the shot (to go in and take someone down)Throw them or anything else can greatly be excelerated with grand hip strength. This one forte has to go to the women. And Ronda displays these techniques and strategies well. And has not been beaten in 11 pro fights.
4. The eye of the tiger-Rhonda and many lady fighters have it. That calm vigor in and out of the ring is something she famous for. And she's easy on the eyes. Also when they enter the ring they are quiet and not very expressive. This trait doesn't leand a hand to trash talking out of the ring, but who cares, they do their talking inside the ring.  So the next time you see a women enter the octagon watch out!

MMA Vs Wing Chun-How does Wing chun hold up against MMA?

MMA Vs. Wing Chun-How does wing chun hold up against MMA? JKD,NHB Jeet Kune do

5 things to consider when you are comparing styles like wing chun
1.Is it rational? Is it rational or irrational? Has the instructor put the coarse together in a way, where it can
actually be studies? And doesn't leave you feeling like your all broken down when you leave the class. There
is always a time to study techniques, but you have to get them down first.
2.Is their sparring -MMA has sparring but does wing chun. Yes it does and it has energy drills.
3.Is there Ground fighting?Wing chun does have ground fighting, I'm not sure how much. I did see some.
4. Is there actual combat? Well there is no mistaking the actual combat in MMA, MMA fighters are always
getting prepared to go in the ring. And that their safety is first and formost. So that should be reflected in the fighting.
5. Traditional vs. Modern Techniques-do the traditional techniques of Wing chun Stand up to today?I think some of them do, and some don't A student should start somewhere with energy training but where.Should he think right off of the bat , that he can go out and win a fight. Probably not.

Secrets of Organic eating to lose weight

Mostly this blog is about losing weight, staying healthy, and working out by the numbers. But one of the secrets most people don't know, is that eating organically makes sense. Lowering the pesticides in our food, can be a great help to weight loss, better sleep, digestion, and help to the internal organs. Your Liver-the liver detoxes your whole body, keeps your blood clean, and helps keep poisons out of your body. This is a great organ, but its constantly overloaded with pesticides and chemicals in our food. Tip #1-find an organic farmer in your area, they shouldn't use any pesticides what soever. Your liver will thank you in the morning. Good things to buy-yellow squash, bell peppers (red and green) sweet onions. You can make a great stir fry with these that will knock your socks off. Lower your meat consumptions. I read a book a few years ago, by the diomonds and they said that when we all pass, we have about 6 ounces of beef in our colon. Wow! Your carrying around six ounces of beef your whole life. I was amazed, but have you ever noticed after a heavy meat meal you feel tired. Thats the trick, the more meat you eat, the more tired you feel. Meat is hard on the joints, the internal organs, the heart etc. Start by lowering your meet consumptions to 30% of your overall diet. You'll still be getting your protein, but a little less of it. Your whole body will thank you.Especially your blood stream. Add some deep breathing to your diet. Moving lymph around in your system is a good think. Make a pack with yourself, to do 10 breaths a day deeply to move that lymph around, and boost your immune sytsem. Try these three things and see a what a boost it can give your body. And for more info on weight loss check out our website My40fitness.com Thanks and be safe.

Was Bruce Lee Wrong?

Most people haven't explored the fact that Bruce Lee was designing his own Martia art before his untimely death. And instead of being based on tradition exercises, passed down from generation to generation, his martial art was based on the truth. "What is right for you is your martial art."He would say. If your short and all the flashy kicks don't work for you, then that is not for you, do what works and stick with that. Many times I have seen a short guy trying to do arm bars, and triangle chokes in Judo class, because one size fits all. Those techniques usually don't work for the short guys. Bruce Lee was steadfastly designing, a martial art that didn't really on maybe. Maybe this or that technique will work for you in a street fight. He didn't like maybe. He wanted you working the techniques that were the best for you. Maybe you couldn't go to the ground, and learning to stuff a grappler was better for you to stay on your feet. Bruce was very rational, and like that to be reflected in his martial art. Bruce also designed instruments to help him navigate his new playing field. Large punching bags, wrist machines, moveable kicking shields, all kinds of things only dreamed about, in Saturday afternoon matinees. Was Bruce wrong, check out my next blog to find out.

Can you do it, without the Diet?

Can you do it, without the diet? This is a question, for those of us, who want to eat whatever we want. And off set it with the work out. I absolutely, think that working out is a definite necessity. But if what your putting inside is not working, eventually it will catch up with you. Your food affects your whole system. Your bodies ability to burn fat, build muscle, and lose weight. Keep your diet in mind, and if you were a complete sugar head, like me it can be done. I started drinking coke at four years old. And didn't understand at nine that I was nuking my system with sugar and dairy. The last four weeks, I've cut everything. I just have my usual coffee in the morning to keep things civil, and start with a much different routine. I always eat breakfast, have a snack, lunch, another snack, and then eat dinner. I've lost 11 pounds so far. For updates on what I'm eating, and how I'm losing weight, check out my next post. And become a follower, that way you'll be notified when the NEXT blog comes out. The Cacoon Workout

Over the weekend, I went to stockstill park, near downtown Branson, mo. And I had a pretty good idea. I put my mp3 player on, a pair of sun glasses and a hoodie. And blocked the whole world out. My pedometer was at my side, and I made several laps around the whole park. At the end of my workout I had done about fifteen hundred brisks steps, without batting an eye. It was cold and windy, and I wrapped myself up like a cacoon to complete the workout. As I stated in my last blog, any kind of resistance can create a workout. People complain that they don't have time to workout. You can workout anywhere, anytime, with some of these simple ideas. This weekend i'll be posting pictures from some of my workouts, that you can do anywhere so stay tuned. look for blog #10 or #11 for those workouts.

The invisible workout 2 blog #7

In a previous blog back, I talked about how you can create a workout, during your work day when no one even knows. Except hopefully yourself. lol Several ways that you can continue this workout are simple:

1. Delivering the mail. (my mailbox is across the street about a block. Up and down some stairs and past tons of old fashioined shops. just getting across the street is a chore. Think of this: the more resistance in any action, is a workout. Because working out is the process of structured resistance. Trying to get across the street is hard, I burn extra calories. Going up and down stairs is tough, more calories. Running across the street (jaywalking) not recommended, burns calories. I'm always trying to better myself from the day before. Invisible workouts are fun, no one knows about them but you. Especially your boss. So if your focused on 8000 steps per day, if you do this over a  day workday, thats 40000 steps per work week. Who knows what you could do over the weekend. Walking and working out, has lowered my stress level, blood pressure, and increase my over all well being. minus stree minus blood pressu pluss overall well being, makes  a good formula. Hence a topic for my next blog. Check out all of my blogs as this is blog #7.

A quick tip you can do next time at Mcdonalds to lose weight Blog #six

Here's a quick tip I picked up on the other day for people who are stuck eating fast food, and would like to create a strategy for losing weight, next time they go through the drive through.
Fast Food has trained us on the wrong calorie count. The food is caloricley dense, high in sugar, and corn syrup. And is so bad for us, at times we feel trapped inside a box. Next time you go through the drive through, order the kids meal. The adult meal is about 1700 calories, as opposed to a kids meal, that is five hundred calories. Just because someone else puts your plate together, doesn't mean you have to eat all those calories, or drink all of  that soda. You decide how much your going to eat. One large soda in a fast food restaurant is about three hundred and fifty calories. So skip the soda and pick an ice tea. If just to get away from all the bad stuff in the soda. You'll thank yourself for it.
Tip Six pick the Kids meal, next time your rushing for fast food. And focus on lunch as a way to lose weight.

How to creat an "Invisible Workout" Blog #5

Two posts back I mentioned that it might be a good idea to buy a pedometer. Well, its  a good idea. You can actually begin to monitor how much you've worked out with one of these babies. I shoot for 10,000 steps a day. Which is a good way to get on the path to losing weight. The highest I've gotten so far is about 8200 steps, and counting. Today I did about 6200. My goal over 30 days is to eat right, and perform 300,000 steps. I want to see some results and so should you. Its important to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Blog #5 How to create a "secret workout"-the mind is a curious things. As you go to work each day, look around and see how you can create a workout. DO you have lots of hills near your office or work. Are there stairs around. Is their something you can walk up and down on, and begin counting your steps. Where I work there are a ton of stairs. In the morning, first thing I go up and down a set of stairs, and count 100 steps. Thats a great start. I'm working out and people don't even know it. I get it in my mind that I'm going to get as close to 10,000 steps for the day as possible. This is a secret workout. As your making your work day happen, your also focused on your health, and no one has any idea. Take your breaks, a portion of your lunch break, and make it a goal to do some steps. You'll begin to feel better a little bit at a time.

300,000 steps blog #4

Today I walked 8,330 steps. Up and down stairs, across the street to the Grand Village. My goal is to walk 300,000 steps within the next 30 days. Go out and grab yourself a pedometer. to help you track and achieve this goal. Generally, a very brisk workout daily, aside from your workout 3 times per week. Is about 10,000 steps per day. As I go about my day, I check my pedometer. My goal is to have five thousands steps done by lunch, and another five thousand done by closing time. If anyone else would like to participate in this challenge give me a shout or catch me on face book.

30 day goal to walk 300,000 steps within 30 days.

Working out is not about possessions!

Have you ever noticed when you go over a friends house, that they have all of this workout equipment, laying around. I mean this stuff is nice. The latest bells and whistles, sleek waistlines are seen on the covers of all the box's. Tight buns, big biceps, sweat, are all seen on these gorgeous glossies. This isn't working out, this is being a good consumer. As a culture, we love to buy stuff, and buy more stuff. But with all of this work out gear, a foot never hits the pavement. Or a body, is never in motion. I can do a workout in a hotel room, the garage of my house, foot to pavement, or in a small 3 x 4 space. For a free copy of my burpee circuit, where you can do it anywhere. Just email me at bransonrealtor1@yahoo.com or contact me on facebook. this workoout will make you sweat, and you'll never worry about buying another piece of workout gear again. happy shopping.

How to do the perfect take down

Take downs are tough in the beginning. Most people love to take other people down, but hate to be taken down. It was harder to learn how to fall down, than take someone down. Eventually, you get over this aspect of grappling. Things to look out for, are perfect spine alignment, the grip you choose, whether its a single or a double leg take down, and whether to stay on your feet. Whether to stay on your feet, is an article unto itself, but I always prefer the single leg take down. The individual knee left or right shoots between your opponents legs from the half knee level (similar to a single leg lunge) and the hands go behind your opponents legs or lower back). If you get the lower back, you have the option to push high, and slam your opponent. If you get the legs you have the option for a quick trip to the ground. I prefer to get my partner to the ground as soon as possible, to either gain control, or go for a quick submission.

1. Lunge forward on single left or right leg.
2. Choose your grip, and encircle your opponents legs.
3. Push forward with a perfect strait spine, this generates the most power.
4. Push all the way through the movement for perfect precision.

thats it, thanks for reading. MMA ARTS ONE

The proper way to do a round kick

As we age, the hips become more and more less limber. A good barometer before working out, is to test the flexibility of the hips. Whether you are a ground fighter, or stand up fighter, the hips are key. If your executing a wing chun punch, round kick or moving in and out of the guard. Hips in my experience seem to be the first thing to go. Here are several exercises for limbering up the hips:

1. Take a small round rubber band, (the kind you can purchase at target, in the workout department) and put both feet inside. Place your hand on your hips, and move your left foot to the left while keeping it strait. do a set of about 13 to 14 until your left hip, feels a good burn. Now do the right side, and notice that your burning around 7 or 8. you won't be able to do as many as the left. After this exercise try a few kicks, you'll be amaze at how many kicks you can do.

The Proper way to do a round Kick

1. Hands should always be in around your head, no sloppy hands, not one down and one up. Both around the head to protect your face, from punches.

2. The knee directs the foot, Raise your left knee, pivot your right foot out for balance, and push your left knee forward. The foot can either hit with the flat of the foot, or with the ball of the foot. I choose the top flat of the foot in the beginning and work up to spreading the toes back.
3. As the foot hits its target rechamber it holding it up in the bent position. Remember to keep those hands up.When the foot is in the rechamber position, you have the option of throwing another kick.
